A storefront we own, so we know what commerce actually costs.
Why we run a shop
Every assumption in an e-commerce build — abandoned carts, failed payments, courier exceptions, return fraud — is either measured or guessed. Operating a real storefront means we measure ours, and the engineering decisions we recommend to commerce clients are ones we have already paid for.
Payments, as they actually work here
Local wallets and bank rails behave nothing like a single card processor: partial confirmations, delayed settlement, and reconciliation that has to survive a failed callback. The checkout is built around those realities rather than around a happy path that only holds in a demo.
Fulfilment is part of the software
Picking, dispatch, courier handoff, returns and the support inbox all run through the same system as the storefront. When operations live in a separate spreadsheet, the storefront's stock numbers are fiction within a week.
What it shares with client work
The same component system, the same deployment pipeline and the same observability we hand to clients. Ghumti Bags is where changes to that stack get proven against real traffic before we recommend them to anyone else.
What it does
- Catalog, variants and stock sync
- Checkout tuned for Nepali buyers
- Local payment rails incl. eSewa
- Fulfilment, returns and support flow
The questions buyers actually ask
- Can we just buy the platform?
- It is not sold as a product. What we sell is the engagement that builds your commerce stack, informed by running ours. Ask us for the numbers behind any recommendation and you will get them.
- How big is it?
- Small, deliberately, and we will not dress it up. Its value to clients is that it is real and instrumented, not that it is large.
- Is running a shop a conflict for commerce clients?
- We do not take engagements from direct competitors in bags. Anywhere else in commerce, our operating experience is the asset you are hiring.
